FINAL: We win 9-5
We were in the field first cause we were home. In the first inning they got two men on and one guy scored and our pitcher got us out of the jam with two strikeouts. Our first inning, our leadoff man got a walk, then he stole a base, then a fly ball in left moved him to third. Our next batter Mike hit a single down third that the third baseman missed completely and then batter Joey hit into a double play to end the inning. Next inning after the first out, a key 2nd, then a key 3rd ground out and we were up. Our next player hit a double and stole 3rd and the next 2 grounded out and did not score the runner. Then came me. I took the sign (it was a take sign) and it was a strike. Second sign, swing away — I missed both of them was very upset with myself at batting so could not let it get to me so we let 1 more run in and we got retired again. The next inning they did score a hit. Our first batter this inning got a walk then he stole 2nd, then we put a pinch hitter in and got one out. He walked one and hit one and popped one up. With two outs and the bases loaded I had to redeem myself and get something going. I let the first pitch go over my head the second time was right down the middle. I swung over the top and hit to left field. I was going the whole time to second even if the left fielder did not miss the play. I cleared the bases with a 3rbi double and was taken out for rest. From there on we let 3 runs up and scored 5 more runs in the inning of the double. After the game I was given the game ball for the winning hit and hustle. —Matt
